Dr. Mamdouh Andrawis is a Family Physician with a special interest in Dermatology in Bath, Ontario. He is a member of Primary Care Dermatology Society of Canada and International Dermoscopy Society. He is an adjunct assistant professor with the Department of Family Medicine at Queen’s University and lecturer at Ottawa University. He enjoys teaching residents and medical students the skills of family medicine and Dermatology.
Dr. Andrawis has completed family medicine residency in 2004 at Queen’s University. He obtained Diploma in Practical Dermatology from Cardiff University in Wales and completed further training in Dermoscopy and finally he earned MSc degree in Dermatology from university of South Wales. He was awarded a Fellowship designation in the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
Dr. Andrawis has a Focused Practice Designation in Dermatology as recognized by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and the Ontario Medical Association.
Dr. Rachel Asiniwasis is a dermatologist and early career clinician researcher based in western Canada (her hometown of Regina, Saskatchewan). She is the founder of Origins Dermatology Centre, a combined multidisciplinary model that services both the general population and provides outreach clinics (in-person and virtual care) for underserviced remote and rural Indigenous (First Nations and Metis) communities. Rachel is of Plains Cree, Saulteaux and English background. She carries a Master’s of Science in Health Sciences in clinical and translational research, and has special interest in common inflammatory dermatoses (atopic dermatitis, psoriasis), virtual care, underserviced areas, holistic impact of skin disease, medical education, and translational interpretation and implementation of research with the ultimate goal of tangible health outcomes. She currently has active educational and research projects ongoing in the areas of inflammatory skin disease, virtual care, and Indigenous and rural health in western Canada.
Tala Batarseh is the visionary behind DenTala Coaching & Consulting, a leading firm in the dental industry. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from York University, and has been making a profound impact on dental practices for over 15 years.
Tala’s dedication to mentorship and coaching has helped numerous clinicians and auxiliary team members excel in their roles., and her approach to the business of healthcare has changed the landscape of many practices providing not only a focus on operational efficiency but improved their patient relationship and communication success.

Combining her theoretical expertise with a wealth of hands-on experience, Tala has become a driving force in propelling dental practices towards unprecedented success. Dr. Chen is a board-certified dermatologist by the Royal College of Physicians of Canada in Canada, and by the American Board of Dermatology in the United States. She received her Honours B.Arts Sc. and MD from McMaster University. She completed her dermatology residency at the University of Toronto and served as chief resident in her final year. Dr. Chen is a lecturer at the University of Toronto
Dr. Andrew Ferrier is a double board-certified dermatologist in Canada and the United States and practices in Edmonton and Fort McMurray, Alberta.
Dr. Andrew Ferrier received his BA in Biology from Lake Forest College as an NCAA student-athlete, Dr. Ferrier completed his PhD and post-doctoral fellowship in Cellular and Molecular Medicine at the University of Ottawa where he published numerous manuscripts detailing the pathological mechanisms underlying neurological disease. Following his PhD, he completed his medical degree at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine where he received the prestigious Canadian Medical Hall of Fame award. Dr. Andrew Ferrier went on to complete his dermatology residency at the University of Alberta.
Dr. Ferrier is passionate about medical, surgical dermatology, and clinical trials. Dr. Andrew Ferrier holds the position of Assistant Professor at the University of Alberta and Director of Clinical Trials with Stratica Dermatology and is enthusiastic about new leading edge medical advancements that help his patients.
Outside of medicine, he enjoys sports, and spending time with his family and friends.
Dr. Patrick Fleming is a dermatologist with focus on inflammatory skin disease including psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, & prurigo nodularis. He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto.
He completed residency at the University of Toronto where he was Chief Dermatology Resident and concurrently completed the Global Clinical Scholars program in Clinical Trials at Harvard Medical School. He also holds a Master’s degree in Community Health, a Graduate Certificate in Medical Education, and was the Gold Medalist in medical school.
He is an Associate Editor the Journal of Cutaneous Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Fleming’s research background includes systematic reviews and he is an investigator for dermatology clinical trials.
Dr. Hanna grew up in Toronto but completed his medical and dermatology specialty training in the US. He practiced there for almost a decade before returning home to Toronto to establish his Dermatology practice. Dr. Hanna has been practicing medical, aesthetic and investigational dermatology for over 20 years. He is the medical Director of Dermatology on Bloor, a large single-specialty dermatology practice in downtown Toronto. He is past-president of the Toronto Dermatological society, serves on the OMA section of Dermatology Board and has been secretary of the Canadian Dermatology Association and chaired many committees there.
Dr. Hetz has been the owner and medical director of Concept Medical, in Ottawa, since 2016. He completed his residency in Family medicine at the University of Ottawa followed by a PGY3 in primary care skin conditions and office-based surgical procedures. He currently holds an academic appointment with the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa and regularly teaches fellow physicians and residents at his office. Dr. Hetz regularly advises small firms such as Algonquin College and MD Consultants, as well as large organizations including SNC Lavalin. He is regularly called on as a medicolegal expert in the field of medical aesthetics for national law firms, the Canadian Medical protective Association, and most recently the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Most recently, Dr. Hetz was named one of the Forty Under 40 recipients for Ottawa by the Ottawa Business Journal and Ottawa Board of Trade.
Dr. Marissa Joseph graduated with a combined BSc (Honours) in Biochemistry and Biology from Dalhousie University, and then completed medical school at Dalhousie University. She is a board certified Pediatrician and Dermatologist after completing Pediatric training at the Hospital For Sick Children, following with a Dermatology residency at the University of Toronto. She completed a MSc in Community Health at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health.
Dr. Joseph is full time academic faculty at the University of Toronto. She has received and has been nominated for teaching awards in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. Dr. Joseph is the Medical Director of the Ricky Kanee Schachter Dermatology Centre at Women’s College Hospital. She also works at the Hospital For Sick Children where she manages children with complex dermatologic disease in outpatient and inpatient settings, as well as a pediatric laser treatment program. Dr. Joseph enjoys her diverse practice in general adult, pediatric and surgical dermatology. Her clinical and research interests include inflammatory skin disorders such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and hidradenitis suppurativa; genodermatoses, and equity, diversity and inclusivity.
Dr. Jennifer Lipson is a lecturer at the University of Ottawa, an associate physician at The Ottawa Hospital and a consulting physician at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO). She serves as a committee member for the Ottawa Dermatology Clinical and Scientific Biannual Meeting, The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Subspecialty Committee for Dermatology, and the Ontario Medical Association Section on Dermatology Executive Committee. She is on the medical advisory committee for the Acne and Rosacea Society of Canada. Her clinical interests include immune mediated inflammatory diseases, acne and women’s health in dermatology.
Dr. Samuel Rodriguez completed his medical degree at the University of Sherbrooke and his specialization at McGill University. He also completed a training program in aesthetic medicine and laser surgery accredited by the Collège des médecins du Québec with dermatologist Dr. Jean-François Tremblay. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Rodriguez is a Faculty Lecturer at McGill University, where he teaches skin health, including acne, rosacea and eczema, to medical students.
Heather Woolery-Lloyd, MD is an internationally recognized expert in skin of color. She lectures nationally and internationally on the cosmetic concerns of skin of color. Dr. Woolery-Lloyd completed her undergraduate studies at Georgetown University and later earned her medical degree at the University of Miami School of Medicine. She completed her training in dermatology at the University of Miami where she also served as chief resident. Dr. Woolery-Lloyd participates extensively in clinical research, serving as an investigator for clinical trials with an emphasis on increasing inclusion of skin of color patients. She has dozens of publications in the medical literature with a focus on skin of color dermatology.
Dr. Zalaudek is a renowned expert in Dermatologic Oncology with a worldwide network of collaborations and teaching activities. Her research comprises 580+ publications in Pubmed with an h-index of 65 (latest access Scopus 01/2023) and more than 600 participations as speaker on national and international congresses and workshops. She has a profound knowledge in conducting clinical trials and fund raising. Her research on melanocytic tumors has led to a new classification of nevi and her working group was the first to describe the dermoscopic patterns of different forms of epithelial skin cancers including actinic keratoses, Bowens’ disease and invasive squamous cell carcinoma.
In 2008, 2020,2021 she was awarded TOP Researcher at the University of Graz, Austria (2008), the University of Trieste, Italy (2020, 2021). She has become the First Female President of the International Dermoscopy Society (2016–2021), was nominated among the TOP 50 Women in Dermatology (2020) and achieved as First Foreign Women the title of Full Professor in Italian Dermatology Academia (2022).
Prof Zalaudek promotes her speciality by sharing multicultural experience, providing opportunities in multidisciplinary and inspiring young colleagues for research and assistance. She speaks fluent German, Italian and English.
